Uncover the ONE thing you do that your:

  • Competitors can't or won't do
  • Ideal customers want or need

It's often found in your processes, deliverables, or methodology.

2. Find Your People

You are not for everyone.

Find that subsection of your total addressable market who are:

  • most likely to buy
  • most likely to buy quickly
  • most likely to pay a premium
  • most likely to trust you

Those are your ideal customers — the people you want to focus your branding, messaging, positioning, and marketing after.

3. Communicate It Everywhere

Craft a message that communicates your onlyness in a clear and compelling way.

  • Clear - so people understand what makes you unique
  • Compelling - so people are moved to buy from you

Use that message everywhere: your website, content, social profiles, emails, marketing materials, sales materials.

You should get sick of seeing it everywhere.

4. Create an Experience

Prospects should feel your onlyness in every interaction with your business.

Map out the experience you want them to have that points back to your onlyness.

Think through:

  • Marketing
  • Content
  • Sales
  • Operations
  • Service and Support

One seemless experience is the goal.

5. Own the Market

Follow steps 1-4 and stick to it.

Don't change your onlyness when you see a new fad or trend or some other business touts a new "strategy" you should steal.

It takes years, if not decades, to own a unique position in the market.

But, if you follow this framework, you'll get there.

Because you'll be the ONLY choice for your ideal customers.

And that's the position that gets clients lining up around the block to work with you.
